Robin Lumsden, MA is a retired Chief Inspector of Fife Constabulary and a graduate of the University of St. Andrews. Now a part-time researcher and author, he has studied and written about the history and militaria of the Third Reich for over 40 years and his many books, particularly those on the SS, have become recognised as essential references. They have been published worldwide to critical acclaim and have been translated into German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Estonian, Czech and Polish.

Robin was granted personal Arms in 2011.
